Package: libsane Version: 1.0.18-5 Severity: normal I'd successfully scanned with a BENQ 5000 scanner using libsane and xsane from Debian (maybe last summer); now I've upgraded to the current unstable version and it doesn't work anymore. The details are virtually the same as indicated in the report available at https://alioth.debian.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=303471&group_id=30186&atid=410366 (although I have 20f8v115.bin firmware, not 20f8v116.bin): scanimage -T gives the following errors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [snapscan] usb_read Only 56864 bytes read [snapscan] read_calibration_data: snapscan_cmd command failed: Error during device I/O [snapscan] calibrate: read_calibration_data command failed: Error during device I/O ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've installed sane-backends-1.0.17 from sources and with that everything seems to work as it did; so the problem probably appeared after 1.0.17 was released.
