With the EXA setup it still crashed even when I turned the transparency off.
Which, however, does not mean Amarok stopped using GL. Also even without
transparency it was still shaped (it has round corners). I didn't try with
turned off transparency with XAA yet. I'll try when I have some time to play
(as I said, it happend nineth or so time the OSD popped up, so I'll have to
try it for some time).
Is there some debugging or something that I can turn on to give more clues
about what causes the lock up? The screen locks up, but syncing discs with
SysRq-S and SysRq-U will still work, so debug messages have a good chance to
persist.
