Sorry, but I'm a bit puzzled. A man page is a data file, and data
files are the same on all systems. It would be simpler if you'd run,
(on your 'experimental' system), something like:
zgrep -n 'which of the both' /usr/share/man/man1/uuencode.1.gz ; echo $?
