I can absolutely reproduce this behaviour with the current sid version,
that is: If burning completes and media got ejected and k3b is trying to
retract it again to begin the verify process, the tray stays open,
eventually k3b reports "can't close tray" or something (got it just once
I think) and the kernel logs this:
Apr 17 14:32:18 localhost kernel: hdc: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
Apr 17 14:32:18 localhost kernel: ide: failed opcode was: unknown
Apr 17 14:32:18 localhost kernel: hdc: DMA disabled
Apr 17 14:32:18 localhost kernel: hdc: ATAPI reset complete
I just wanted to report back, even if on IRC someone (Dr. med. phys.
phil. Dipl. Ing. her illustrious highness, Ede Bloch ;) ) gave me some
hints. For example it may have to do something with hald interferring
somehow and I should try to kill that process before.
I hope we can discuss this issue here more closely than on IRC and of
course, more "open" to document it for others. I am gone for several
hours, so I'll report back later.
