Package: rt2x00-source
Version: 0cvs20060928-1

I would recommend that the rt2x00-source is depreciated from all distros as it cannot be directly supported upstream anymore. The snapshot used is old and out of date and has many known issues. It really should not be in anything remotely classed as a stable distribution. *No bug reports sent upstream based on this version will be processed*

The development of the rt2x00 rebuild has ceased in cvs and is now entirely done inside wireless-dev.git, due to dependency issues on mac80211 and cfg80211 this cannot be back ported very easily to earlier kernels without a lot of messing around. If the rt2x00 package is to be supplied as source then it can be built if also the intel mac80211 package is used to patch the kernel and this currently works on 2.6.18 or above.

The rt2400-source rt2500-source and rt2570-source modules are still being
maintained and fixes applied upstream.

Best regards

Robin
