Do I miss anything? i see two ways of handling this: - in acpi's prerm, for upgrades from << $version (where version is 1.0.4-7 or so, if the conffile's md5sum matches that of the default conffile, then remove it. this seems the standard method for removing obsoleted conffiles. or, - transfer the conffile to acpi-support and/or laptop-mode-tools and let them fix the problem. sean
