The `web searches' handler provides an option to decide if all of the browsers' search engines should be offered. This configuration is implemented by looking for `browser.search.selectedEngine' key value in prefs.js. Such a mechanism may not work when browser, say iceweasel, uses its default one: Google, because the key `browser.search.selectedEngine' does not exist at all in prefs.js when the selected engine of iceweasel is Google. Therefore, this mechanism only works when the selected engine of browser is configured to other engines.
