Package: gawk
Version: 1:3.1.5.dfsg-4
Severity: normal

If I run the following script:

gawk '{match($0,/[[:alpha:]]+/);}' uittemp.k16326

(uittemp.k16326 is a very long text file),

gawk eats up all the memory that is available.

Thanks,

Paul Huygen.
