Today (but not for the first time) newsbeuter segfaulted when reading
the feeds.
A little debugging with gdb showed that the problems are somewhere
around DNS resolution. So I checked the hosts of all feed URLs with
'host' and 'dig', and one of them timed/errored out. Manual checks
confirmed the DNS problem:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ host planet-fr.debian.net
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ host planet-fr.debian.net ns.austria.eu.net
Using domain server:
Name: ns.austria.eu.net
Address: 192.92.138.35#53
Aliases:
planet-fr.debian.net is an alias for www.freexian.org.
www.freexian.org is an alias for arrakeen.freexian.org.
arrakeen.freexian.org has address 212.85.152.62
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dig ns freexian.org @ns.austria.eu.net
;; ANSWER SECTION:
freexian.org. 119803 IN NS arrakeen.ouaza.com.
freexian.org. 119803 IN NS ns6.gandi.net.
After removing the URLs with planet-fr.debian.net from
~/.newsbeuter/urls the segfaults stopped.
Cheers,
gregor
