The procedure should be:
- sync your Palm
- copy AddressDB.pdb in a safe place (rename it AddressDB.pdb.mine for
example)
- install an empty AddressDB base on your Palm with:
$ pilot-xfer --install /usr/share/jpilot/AddressDB.pdb
- create a dummy entry on the Palm
- get the AddressDB from the Palm with:
$ pilot-xfer --fetch AddressDB.pdb
- send me the AddressDB.pdb file
- restore your AddressDB.pdb file with:
$ pilot-xfer --install AddressDB.pdb.mine
I have not tested the procedure but it should mostly work.
If the procedure is too complex you can just send me your
~/.jpilot/AddressDB.pdb file in a *private* mail.
