Hi, I've just read this bug and I'm not convinced that you are taking the best choice for users. Looks like some installed the unofficial package, they will get upgrade errors and blame it on Debian. That might be not true but users tend to blame it on the distribution. Adding the Replaces would be trivial, not have any side effect and allow those users to have a better Debian experience
