Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal As discussed in http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2007/12/msg00136.html I request to have the 'metalog' package removed. metalog is not yet capable of mimicing common syslog file paths (e.g. /var/log/mail.log) and thus does not qualify as a common logging daemon. There are enough alternatives like sysklogd, syslog-ng and rsyslog that do a better job.
The package was orphaned and I sent an ITA. But while I wanted to get the package into a good shape again I found these problems. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (900, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
