Package: fglrx-driver Version: 8.43.2-1 Followup-For: Bug #451119 Just for the record: contrary to what the original reporter mentions, fgl_glxgears doesn't work on 32-bit either. It produces the exact same error message here (GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest). This is with version 8.43.2. "fgl_glxgears -fbo" and "glxgears" work fine.
