I can't reproduce segfaults (neither in etch box nor in sid chroot). Could you rebuild tcl8.5 and tk8.5 with debug symbols enabled (DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=debug,nostrip debuild) or just take them from http://sgolovan.nes.ru/debian-tcltk/8.5.1/ and show the backtraces again? -- Sergei Golovan
