Good. Just to clarify things: Without the patch xmaxima segfaults, with patch works fine? Please, try another version of the patch (more efficient, and with a font fallback): http://sgolovan.nes.ru/debian-tcltk/8.5.1/tk8.5_8.5.1-1.1_amd64.deb (link is the same, but the package is different). -- Sergei Golovan
