Hello,
I noticed the following sentence in the long description:
pyecm seems to be faster than gmp-ecm on many tests and is much
more portable (it's written in Python).
Concerning the portability, I don't think it's relevant to debian
users as both programs are available in all released and unofficial
ports that I know of. I don't think it's accurate either, as python
itself is written in C just like gmp-ecm and I'd like to know a
specific plateform where python and pyecm are available and gmp-ecm is
not.
As for the "faster" claim, could you provide specific examples where
pyecm outperforms gmp-ecm? It's of particular interest to the gmp-ecm
developers. Thanks!
