Ultimately, we need a compromise between full debug output, and nothing. 
This is too hard, but also isn't a trivial change because of the way we 
currently handle output.

I am working on a feature that will be in a later version (next one, if I 
get it done) that has a progress indicator by default, and then --quiet 
will make it silent, and --verbose will print all debug output.

So once that is ready, then hopefully everyone will be happy. ;)

Okay, well, that explains it at least. =) I'll have to do a test and see if 
this could lead to trouble when running as a normal user in a directory 
with a strange mode...
