Yeah, I saw that later on. But that actually makes things WORSE, not better! A 'common' package is for stuff that applies to ALL packages in the group it's for (nagios-{pgsql,mysql,text} in this case). The *mysql* stuff does NOT apply to the pgsql package and vise versa...
