If I understand well, the behaviour should be the one I expect, but it
just happens I have saved entries which are in its way. Could that be
that an old version of aptitude did save everything ?

I have here among others the following settings, which I'm pretty sure
I did not mess with from the prefs - but well, it could just be my
own memory failing :>

aptitude::UI::Exit-On-Last-Close "true";
aptitude::Keep-Unused-Pattern "";
aptitude::Delete-Unused-Pattern "";

Well, I must say that menu option always looked "scary" to me, it just
sounds like all my settings will be reverted, so I was not very
enclined to try it :)
