OK, this is a bug that we are aware of but will take a little while to get sorted out. Thanks for the report though.
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to find the time to investigate further, that's why I decided to take a screenshot.
No problem. The bug report is useful enough.
Please note that ContourGridPlane seems to work as expected, if I start mayavi2 and avoid copying/pasting data sources, that is to say as in:
