While I have updated lirc's packaging in SVN [2], I do not see any change in lirc_serial/ lirc_dev which might suggest a fix for 2.6.25 related issues in lirc 0.8.3. Furthermore lirc_serial is working fine with 0.8.2-2 and kernel 2.6.25.4 for me, it's lirc_i2c which oopses without patching (patch pending in svn, or rather obsoleted by 0.8.3). Alternatively it would be nice if you could test current pkg-lirc svn [3], or the experimental lirc 0.8.3 packages I've uploaded to [4]. > Thanks, > > Aki [...] Regards Stefan Lippers-Hollmann [1] /etc/lirc/lirc-modules-source.conf /etc/lirc/hardware.conf [2] http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/pkg-lirc/lirc/trunk/ http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/pkg-lirc/lirc/tarballs/lirc_0.8.3.orig.tar.gz [3] svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-lirc/lirc/tarballs/ svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-lirc/lirc/trunk/ [4] http://sidux.com/debian/pool/fix.main/l/lirc/
