I fear it's too late indeed. The corresponding preinst script assumes
that there is no 10texlive-base.cnf yet. We could maybe profit from that
trick for the upgrades from etch, but I'm not even sure that it would
work. Wouldn't dpkg tell the upgrader "10texlive-base.cnf created by you
or a script" if we just mv 10texlive-base-bin.cnf to that name?
