Hi, At https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bzr/+bug/234708 one of the authors explains that --using can take options, and so --diff-opts is not needed with it.
I can open a bug there about documenting this, and perhaps making it an error to make it clearer, but I wanted to deal with the original problem you had. You say you get the problem with debcommit?
