Same if I purge octave2.1-info instead > of removing it. I cannot reproduce this bug here, neither in testing or in my sid chroot. Purging and reinstalling octave3.0-info works for me, the alternative /usr/share/info/octave.info.gz -> /etc/alternatives/octave.info.gz is correctly created.
