tags 491772 + pending thanks I've applied your patch to lirc's svn[1], thank you very much.
It will take a while to actually get uploaded to the archive though, as
lirc 0.8.3-2, which fixes several RC issues, has to migrate to testing
first, hopefully before lenny gets frozen.
