Package: zd1211-firmware Severity: normal Tags: d-i d-i's support for installing firmware packages fails if those packages depend on packages not in base (see #492205). zd1211-firmware depends on udev | hotplug.
This was added because it used to depend on just hotplug. But in fact the package can be used without either, nothing is stopping someone from loading the fimware manually. And these dependencies do it no good since udev will be installed anyway, eventually. Observe that only two firmware packages in the archive depend on udev (and I'm filing a bug on atmel-firmware too..) Please remove this dependency.
