By default, curl will return successfully regardless of the HTTP error code.
For example:

  if curl --silent http://www.debian.org/404 >/dev/null
  then
echo "Huh? But the page returned 404!"
  else
     echo "Curl failed."
  fi

di-netboot-assistant should call curl with "-f/--fail" so that it returns
non-zero to prevent it from continuing - if there is no checksum available,
a mirror's "404" page might be installed as a kernel or initrd!

Patch attached.
