This is your window manager not honouring the placement request in the centre of the gscan2pdf main window. Under Gnome or KDE, the placement is correct. On the other hand, the dialog should be modal and isn't, so I will fix that. > Since I can quit gscan2pdf without problems or requiring > reconfirmation while a save operation is in progress, I left the > programme before it was done writing, thus losing the data. I tried this before and I get a confirmation dialog if the save has not finished. The dirty bit is not cleared until the PDF has been saved. > - make sure the progress dialog appears normally I'll look at making it modal. > - make sure that the application can't be quit, or at least requires > confirmation when quitting, if a save is in progress. Maybe all > that needs to be done is postponing the clearing of the dirty bit > until the save is complete. I don't understand why this isn't happening on your machine. The confirmation dialog is correctly modal. Regards Jeff -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
