Hello, I did some more tests today and found that the problem also occurs with the original version of kino from www.kinodv.org. I tested the current version 1.3.1 (12 Aug. 08), I built it from source.
Interestingly I also found that kino obviously crashes at the same points during record when dvgrab reports an buffer-underrun: "newyork001.dv": buffer underrun near: timecode 45:85:85.45 date ????.??.?? ??:??:??
