Package: apticron Version: 1.1.25 Severity: important
apticron depends on mailx which can be provided by multiple packages, including heirloom-mailx. But it is incompatible with heirloom-mailx in its current form and running apticron generates this error from mailx. Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8: No such file or directory This is from line 240... ) 2>&1 | /usr/bin/mailx -a "Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8" -s "$DISTRIB_ID package updates on $SYSTEM" $EMAIL heirloom-mailx uses -a for attachments where here it is using the bsd-mailx syntax, where -a means to add a header. The workaround is to use bsd-mailx. I didn't test with mailutils, so it might work as well. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages apticron depends on: ii apt 0.7.14+b1 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii bsd-mailx [mailx] 8.1.2-0.20071201cvs-3 A simple mail user agent ii debconf [debconf-2 1.5.22 Debian configuration management sy ii heirloom-mailx [ma 12.3+cvs20080629-1 feature-rich BSD mail(1) ii ucf 3.0010 Update Configuration File: preserv Versions of packages apticron recommends: ii apt-listchanges 2.82 package change history notificatio ii iproute 20080725-2 networking and traffic control too apticron suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
