Hello,
I tried to reproduce your bug with several video{codecs}, also libmpeg2,
without any result - it is working well.
I think it could be because of the debian-multimedia.org codecs (which
also breaks for example vlc).
Could you please try it out with a clean debian archive only
installation and give a link to the video - so I can try it out.
