Some ideas/tests to check for the leak.
Does the memory return once the batch file ends ?

No.

does it happen if you type rescan at the dosbox prompt ?

I had a DOS program rescan.exe in my path already that was called when I typed rescan at the dosbox prompt.

I could remove it from the path and try again I suppose.

could you give some sort of outline how the bat file works.

It runs a Fidonet mailer and performs house-keeping, a large loop with various programs called.

does it happen as well if you type core=normal before starting everything ?

Do you mean running from the linux prompt:

core=normal dosbox

I have yet to try that.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Arthur.
