4.0 is in experimental. The next ICU version will require a library transition. I had discussed doing this transition in time for Lenny, but the release team asked me to wait. Now 4.2 is almost ready for release, so in discussion with the upstream ICU team, I have decided to wait for 4.2. If you think it would be useful for me to put 4.0.1 in experimental, I can do that. However, as soon as a 4.2 release candidate is ready, I will upload that to experimental and coordinate with the release team about doing the transition to version 4.2.
