Package: mp
Version: 3.7.1-10
Severity: wishlist

Hi

After upgrading from etch to lenny the filep and mailp programs (links)
are gone.

Although the functionality of filep and mailp is available also by the mp
command mp requires a lot of options and is unsuitable for daily usage.
mp is more designed as a backend for the frontend programs like filep and
mailp and maybe for script usage, not as a frontend itself.

It's not a good solution to remove all the frontends of mp only because
one of them collides with another program from a different package (see
bug #442237). It would be better to resolve such a conflict with a divert
through the alternatives mechanism as it's used in other cases.

Regards

Uwe
