This problem is apparently fixed by the patch suggested in http://bugs.proftpd.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2630 or the 1.2.10-17 package in sid. A sarge backported version of that package is currently available in my repository at deb http://people.debian.org/~frankie/debian/sarge/ ./ A workaround is setting off DelayEngine in proftpd.conf byt that has impact on security due to http://security.lss.hr/index.php?page=details&ID=LSS-2004-10-02 That could be or not acceptable. For joey: Do you think that a 1.2.10-15woody1 which add _only_ the above patch to -15 can be eventually considered for next point release? #308313 is currently tagged important, but its severity could be considered grave because it causes a DoS. -- Francesco P.
