Package: kphone
Version: 1:4.1.1-2
Severity: normal
I started up kphone and registered (but did NOT start a call). Then I
noticed that my laptop's CPU usage meter didn't go down. Instead, the
battery went down fast ...
strace -p PID revealed this:
ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0
gettimeofday({1119655639, 933983}, NULL) = 0
select(6, [3 4 5], [], [], {0, 774}) = 0 (Timeout)
gettimeofday({1119655639, 945910}, NULL) = 0
select(8, [7], NULL, NULL, {0, 0}) = 0 (Timeout)
gettimeofday({1119655639, 946060}, NULL) = 0
[ later, rinse, repeat ]
... in other words, kphone eats CPU for no good reason.
Please fix.
