I've actually just packaged this and was going to upload it, but unfortunately I've caught libsuitesparse mid-transition which is making octave3.0-headers uninstallable, so mathgl can't be built in a clean environment at the moment. But what I have done is uploaded a version that was built somewhere where octave was already installed[0], so that you can do some testing in the meantime. You should be able to get all of it's dependencies installed (and build-depends if need be), but you might have to grab libsuitesparse-3.1.0 out of testing if you don't already have it installed. I shall upload it once octave is installable again.
