The ttf-arphic-bkai00mp + other fonts definitely don't need xutils installed to be useful. We use it in conjunction with ghostscript for making postscript/PDF files, and the dependency on xutils meant that when we upgraded to lenny, dozens and dozens of X11 related packages had to be installed.
Eg xutils dependencies include x11-utils (which has dependendencies including libgl1-mesa-glx) and x11-xserver-utils (which seems to drag in half the xorg libraries). If I twiddle the ttf-* packages so that they don't depend on xutils, all our headless stuff still works and I can get rid of all the xorg libraries without any ill effect. I think the severity on this bug should be higher than 'wishlist'... John McPherson -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
