I upgraded from etch to lenny a few days ago. I frequently used vncviewer on
KDE. After the
upgrade, when I try to use vncviewer, it instantly crashes the X server. When I
redirect
stdout and stderr to files, the stdout file is empty, the stderr file contains
the following:

This makes the vncviewer (xtightvncviewer) package entirely unusable for me,
and I have
to use a different machine / OS to connect to my VNC server sessions I have
running
on various machines.
Interestingly, I've not seen any other meaninful report of this bug. I guess
there may
be something bizarrly wrong with my system, but I just don't know where to start
looking. If helpful, I may send an "strace" output of the xtightvncviewer run
just
before the crash.
