Since you've got a 32-bit machine, that would likely explain why a rebuild of unmodified -3 also works. I've gone ahead and uploaded a -4 to experimental with --build and --host supplied to configure. When it gets built for the PPC, can you try the resulting package again? > And do you prolly miss --enable-fat on ppc? That flag is present for the PPC buildd build. Was it missing on yours?
