Package: libgmpxx3
Severity: important

Was trying to update libgmp3-dev today, but it was getting held back:

--
The following packages have been kept back:
  libgmp3-dev
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

well lets see why:

Reading package lists... Done

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgmp3-dev: Depends: libgmpxx3 (= 4.1.4-7.1) but it is not going to be
installed
E: Broken packages

Hmmm, why wont libgmpxx3 install:

Now looking through all the pages I could think of, i have yet to find a 4.0.1
package, looking upstream there is a gcc 4.0.1 release, but no debian package.

Would just like to apologize beforehand if problems like this shouldn't be
reported, but to me depending on a non-existent package is a bug.
