Sorry for the late answer

Ok, more about this. I have now done an "aptitude dist-upgrade" on my chroot
(Debian testing).
Has the problem resolved itself by chance ?
No it hadn't. I have reverted to 0.8.6 and now it is working. As soon as
I upgrade to version 1.0.x it fails. For now I have blocked my vlc
debian upgrade to 0.8.6. When I switch to one or another version I see
that libwxwidget is being installed (with 0.8.6) and removed with
version > 1.
So 0.8.6 uses libwxwidget (for display purpose I suppose) and it is
working fine.
1.0.x does not use libwxwidget (don't know what has replaced it) and it
is not working fine.
This makes sense as I'm experiencing display bug and we are talking
about a GUI library.
Hope those information will help!
Pascal.
