There's a new upstream pre-release of mcelog, tagged as RELEASE_1_0_PRE1 five days ago and available at ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/cpu/mce/. Would you consider upgrading the Debian package to this version? It includes some things of interest on recent Intel hardware, notably "yellow bit" support and a few more decoding fixes.
