I've got a Boston Accoustic Sound System attached to the computer, which is working, as I tested it on an another computer. I've even got it working on this computer, after tweaking options for snd-intel8x0 (ac97_quirk=inv_eapd (a hint found on the web)) and gnome-mixer.
