Package: cpio
Version: 2.9-13
Severity: important

There seems to be a bug somewhere:
chris...@256bit:~$ find . -depth |cpio --pass-through
--preserve-modification-time --make-directories --unconditional -R
chrisbra ../target/ cpio: chrisbra: invalid user

[email protected]:~$ getent passwd |grep chrisbra
chrisbra:x:1004:100::/home/chrisbra:/bin/bash

Obviously, the user exists.
