Package: uim Version: 1:1.5.7-2 Severity: important Tags: patch Justification: fails to build from source User: [email protected] Usertags: origin-ubuntu karmic ubuntu-patch
Hi,
I had to add an explicit build dependency on libgnomeui-dev, to fix the
following build error:
....
dh_install -puim-applet-gnome
--sourcedir=/home/fabrice/data/build/merge/uim-1.5.7/debian/tmp
cp: cannot stat
`/home/fabrice/data/build/merge/uim-1.5.7/debian/tmp/usr/lib/bonobo/servers/GNOME_UimApplet.server':
No such file or directory
dh_install: cp -a
/home/fabrice/data/build/merge/uim-1.5.7/debian/tmp/usr/lib/bonobo/servers/GNOME_UimApplet.server
debian/uim-applet-gnome//usr/lib/bonobo/servers/ returned exit code 1
make: *** [binary-install/uim-applet-gnome] Error 2
This is because without the explicit dependency on libgnomeui-dev, the Gnome
applet is not built:

In Ubuntu, we've applied the attached patch to achieve the following:
* debian/control: added build dependency on libgnomeui-dev. This is mandatory
to build the Gnome applet and fixes a FTBFS
We thought you might be interested in doing the same.
