Package: ocaml-nox Version: 3.10.2-3 Followup-For: Bug #569915 Stephane,
Thank you for your quick response and explanation as to why the /usr/bin/ocamlopt executable is not present in the arm architecture package. With your information concerning butecode native-code compilers, a check on the INSTALL file revealed that all I needed to do was add NATIVE=false to the make command line for compiling the software. So, since ocamlopt is not included in the arm architecture package, would it not be logical to exclude the manual page for ocamlopt (and in all other architecture packages where the executable is not present) since it is redundant and its presence can lead to confusion? Thanks once again. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: arm (armv5tel) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-ixp4xx Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ocaml-nox depends on: ii binutils 2.18.1~cvs20080103-7 The GNU assembler, linker and bina ii gcc-4.2 4.2.4-6 The GNU C compiler ii libc6 2.7-18lenny2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5-dev 5.7+20081213-1 developer's libraries and docs for ii ocaml-base-nox 3.10.2-3 Runtime system for OCaml bytecode ii ocaml-interp 3.10.2-3 OCaml interactive interpreter and Versions of packages ocaml-nox recommends: ii camlp4 3.10.2-3 Pre Processor Pretty Printer for O ii file 4.26-1 Determines file type using "magic" ii ledit 2.00-4 line editor for interactive progra Versions of packages ocaml-nox suggests: pn libgdbm-dev <none> (no description available) pn ocaml-doc <none> (no description available) pn tuareg-mode | ocaml-mode <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
