This doesn't seem too unreasonable, though you can already supply a
kernel .deb via the -k/--kernel-deb option.

i'm not sure that "arch" is the right term here, though -- aren't the
options just as likely to be same-arch "flavors" of kernel (e.g.
vserver-686-bigmem vs. plain ol' 686).

I've applied a similar patch in upstream SVN [0] using the variable
DEBIRF_KERNEL_FLAVOR, which should meet these goals when we release an
updated version of debirf.
