The first patch (fb-caption-hack) is not suitable for inclusion into the Debian package but gives hints how to fix it. The second patch (lang-alt-fix) is for libkexiv2 that is part of kdegraphics package. I am filing a bug against it now, so that this workaround can be included in Debian.
