I tested using gnash version 0.8.7, and visited
<URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ky6vgQfU24 >. I did not get a
segfault, but the flash player started and after a few seconds showed
"An error occured, please try again later." in the browser window.
These messages showed up in ~/.xsession-errors:
(gtk-gnash:20838): Gdk-WARNING **: GdkWindow 0x4e0001a unexpectedly destroyed
(gtk-gnash:20838): Gdk-WARNING **: GdkWindow 0x4e00017 unexpectedly destroyed
(gtk-gnash:20838): Gdk-WARNING **: GdkWindow 0x4e00003 unexpectedly destroyed
(gtk-gnash:20838): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_style_detach: assertion
`style->attach_count > 0' failed
The program 'gtk-gnash' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
(Details: serial 190 error_code 3 request_code 18 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
This make me suspect there is still a bug in gnash related to the
youtube entry mentioned above.
Happy hacking,
